Una entretenida aventura de MTB en 4
etapas, que cada año es más desafiante. Lo que hace que este evento sea único,
son sus impresionantes paisajes volcánicos y sus recorridos más técnicos, ya
que cada año es un nuevo desafío con gran ambiente festivo.
28 - 31 de enero de 2012
Este año el evento en bici de montaña
incluye 2 nuevas rutas, convirtiéndose en una aventura en MTB aún más técnica y
desafiante.
Descripción del recorrido
El 90% del recorrido se desarrolla fuera
de carreteras asfaltadas por caminos de arena, lava y tierra, en la zona
costera del norte de la isla.
La nueva prueba Contra reloj toma salida
en la Caleta de Famara con una subida hasta Las Nieves (25 Km. aprox.) y 500 m.
de desnivel.
La nueva y más dura prueba XL lleva a
los participantes desde Club La Santa hasta Teguise, siguiendo por la parte
inferior de la montaña hasta la presa de agua y los molinos de viento (escalada
de más de 10 Km.). Los competidores volverán a Club La Santa pasando por
Teguise.
Los participantes en la categoría
cadetes, juniores, y amateurs pueden competir en medio recorrido de las
distancias largas (etapas 2 y 4).

A four days MTB adventure race becoming every year more challenging. The
event is the perfect balance between exhilarating volcanic landscape,
challenging trails, and a fun sporting atmosphere.
28th - 31st January 2012
This year’s Off Road Mountain Bike event includes two new exciting
courses, making the adventure more challenging and even more technical than
ever before!
Course Description
90% of the course is off road, covering sand, lava fields and dirt
tracks in the north of the island.
The new Time Trial stage starts from Caleta de Famara going up to Las
Nieves (approx. 25 K) with 500 meters of climbing.
The new and the hardest race ‘XL’ leads the riders from Club La Santa
towards Teguise, continuing to the bottom of the mountain close to the water
dam, then up to the windmills (more than 10K climb). The return journey takes
participants through Teguise and on to Club La Santa.
Participants in the Cadets and Juniors categories and the new Leisure
Riders category can compete in half of the course on the longest races (stages
2 & 4).
