¡Ven y únete a la fiesta de Halloween en Playa Honda, Lanzarote, organizado por la Asociación más que Arte! / "Entrada gratuita"

Próximo lunes 31 de octubre a partir de las 16:00 hasta las 2:00h de la mañana tendrá lugar la fiesta Zombiewalk Lanzarote 2011, con motivo del día de "Halloween", donde habrá un poco de todo, para todos, desde talleres de maquillaje y mascaras infantiles, música en vivo y hasta fuegos artificiales.

Programación:

• De 16:00 - 18:00h: Taller de máscaras para los más pequeños.
• Luego habrá una batalla de rap, grafiteros y varios bailarines, tendremos a Fran Vega famosa coreográfa y bailarina de funky, la cual hará un show especial para el evento. Y, por supuesto también tenemos a ¡Volkan Squad! 
• Más tarde habrá una asombrosa escena de batalla, con los hombres del ejército, zombies...
• Disfruta de las bandas y juega con nosotros este día: Skirla, Cadaver Depot, Zombie Amor, pánico pequeños, todo ellos después de: Placaje 4x4 y Game Over.
• Y para completar la noche aparte de nuestros grandes cantantes, tendremos Dj y fuegos artificiales.

From children's workshops with face painting and making masks, to fireworks and live music, there'll be a bit of something for everybody. The event will be from 4pm until 2am!

From 4pm to 6pm it's all about the little ones, so why not go and wander down and let them get messy making their own masks?

Also around that time there will be a rap battle, graffiti artists and various dancers, one of them being Fran Vega, a well known funky dancer and choreographer that will be doing a special show for the event. And of course, Volkan Squad!

Later on there will be an amazing battle scene with army men, zombies, and some great special affects have been promised!

Come on down and enjoy the bands! The ones playing for us on Halloween are: Skirla, Cadaver Depot, Zombie Love, Small Panic after Placaje 4x4 & Game Over.

Apart from our great singers, we'll have Dj's and fireworks to make this night complete.

El día 11 de noviembre a las 21:00h tendrá lugar en el escenario de la Cueva de los Verdes, un concierto con música de fado. Esta artista está convertida en una intérprete de culto en su país, fruto de su particular trayectoria y de su muy original propuesta artística, Lula Pena cuenta con una voz maravillosa encumbrada entre otros por Caetano Veloso y por Rodrigo Leao.

Hallado en el tubo volcánico de los Jameos del Agua en Lanzarote “un gusano único en el mundo”

¡Importante revelación de una investigación realizada por un biólogo y dada a conocer en la Universidad de Harvard!

Una investigación ha revelado la existencia en el Túnel de la Atlántida, dentro del tubo volcánico que forma los Jameos del Agua en Lanzarote, del anélido (gusano) del género Protodrilus, considerado “único en el mundo”. Así lo ha anunciado la dirección de los centros de Arte, Cultura y Turismo del Cabildo de Lanzarote.

La investigación se desarrolló bajo la dirección del biológo Alejandro Martínez, quien culmina su doctorado en la Universidad en Dinamarca, y este hallazgo ya ha sido dado a conocer en el congreso de morfología de invertebrados celebrado recientemente en la Universidad de Harvard.

Este gusano se suma así a ‘jameíto’, nombre con el que se conoce comúnmente al cangrejo blanco y ciego (Munidopsis polymorpha) que es endémico de los Jameos del Agua y también único en el mundo.

Found in the volcanic tube of the Jameos del Agua in Lanzarote “the only worm in the world”

Important revelation of an investigation realized by a biologist and announced in the University of Harvard!

An investigation has revealed the existence in the Tunnel of the Atlantis, inside the volcanic tube that forms the Jameos del Agua in Lanzarote, of the anélido´s (worm) of the genre Protodrilus´s, considered “only one in the world”. This way it has been announced by the direction of the centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of the inter-island council of Lanzarote.

The investigation was developed under the guidance of the biologist by Alejandro Martínez, who reaches its doctorate in the University in Denmark, and this find has been already announced in the celebrated congress of morphology of invertebrates recently in the University of Harvard.

This worm joins this way to “jameíto”, name with the one that knows each other commonly to the white and blind crab (Munidopsis polymorpha) that is endemic of the Jameos del Agua and also only one in the world.

Una exposición de artesanía tradicional que data de finales del siglo 19 y a mediados del 20, donde estarán en exhibición en el Centro Socio Cultural “La Tegala” (Sociedad) en la plaza de Haría, Lanzarote. Abierto de 9:00 - 13:00h y de 17:00 - 19:00h desde el 17 hasta 22 octubre.

Talleres de artesanía que se llevarán a cabo cada mañana en la Sociedad, programación:

"Haría: history, culture and tradition"

Haría is celebrating the local history, culture and traditions of Lanzarote with a Semana Cultural until the Sunday 23rd October.

An exhibition of traditional crafts dating back to the late 19th and mid 20th century will be on display at the Centro Socio Cultural La Tegala (sociedad) in the plaza of Haría. Open from 9am to 1pm and 5pm to 7pm from the 17th to 22nd October.

Craft workshops will be held each morning in the sociedad, the programme for the remaining classes are as follows:

Wednesday 19th: Taller de herrería (blacksmith workshop), latonería y lañador.- Impartido por (taught by) D. Marciano Acuña Glez, D. Francisco Betancort García y D. Manuel Fdo. Fontes Dorta.

Antonio de la Rosa is a Flamenco composer and guitarist who was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1965. At the tender age of 4 he developed a vocation and curiosity for Flamenco music, having his public debut at 14.  Until the age of 18 he travelled the world with several Flamenco groups performing in different countries, including Venezuela, Equador, Argentina, USA.  By the time we was 25 years old he had managed to join "La Cumbre Flamenca", an emblematic Flamenco ballet from Madrid, which who he toured for 7 years.  Then he return to the Canary Islands and had mainly perform on his own until in 2006 when he founded the group  "Antonio de la Rosa y Flamenco Fusion".  In 2007 they released their debut album "Colorá colorá" by Orgy Records.

El Departamento de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Teguise organiza los días 30 y 31 de este mes actividades para pequeños en vísperas del Día de los Difuntos. Y lo hace con propuestas anglosajonas, un Hallooween que también llega a Costa Teguise.

The Camel House and Stratvs continue organising their exquisite classical music and local wines pairing. I Carrera Arrefice Gran Hotel, Lanzarote

El 15 de octubre se celebra esta "Carrera Popular" de 6 km, que parte desde el Arrecife Gran Hotel en la ciudad de Arrecife, Lanzarote y que tiene como punto de retorno el final de la urbanización La Concha. Transcurriendo a lo largo de la ribera de Arrecife, hasta volver al punto de salida. La meta está ubicada en el último piso del Arrecife Gran Hotel.

Es una cita obligada para los amantes del deporte que invita a disfrutar de “La Marina” de Arrecife de forma sana y natural.

La prueba está destinada a mayores de 16 años, para los menores se realizará una prueba de 2km y de 1km (sin subir al Hotel).

I Career in Arrecife Gran Hotel, Lanzarote

On October 15 there is celebrated this "Popular Career" 6 km, which divides from the Arrecife Gran Hotel in Arrecife in Lanzarote and which takes the end of the urban development as a comeback point La Concha. Passing along the Arrecife coast, up to returning to the origin. The goal is located in the last floor of the Arrecife Gran Hotel.

Cantina Classic, 14th October 2011

Disfrute de una tarde de música clásica en La Cantina & Secret Garden en La Villa de Teguise, Lanzarote apoyando dos institución benéfica de animal local.

El Clásico Cantina se llevará a cabo, el viernes 14 de octubre a las 19:00h, incluye un concierto de piano clásico llevado a cabo por Yasuyo Tsuchiya y Stuart Forste.

Los propietarios de La Cantina (Benn y Zoe) ofrecerán un aperitivos con bebidas antes del concierto, donde tendrá la oportunidad de socializar y estar en red antes del concierto, que se llevará a cabo en el "Jardín Secreto". El programa incluye piezas populares de Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn, Fauré y un divertido baile español por Moskowski. ¡Las entradas cuestan 10€ anticipada y 15€ en la puerta!

Las ganancias de la venta de entradas será donado entre SARA y 9 Vidas, ambas institución benéfica de animal basada en Lanzarote.

Enjoy an evening of classical music at "La Cantina & Secret Garden" in La Villa de Teguise in Lanzarote whilst supporting two local animal charities.
